Ropes & Fittings
When you purchase a Kaebel Leisure product, you are assured that every component has been chosen for its quality, durability and aesthetic value. The plastic components are custom made from tough high strength nylon and are impact proof within a temperature range of -40°c to +100°c.
Our vandal resistant rope is produced from abrasion resistant fibres, braided around a galvanised steel wire core. Components listed in this catalogue are available individually or integrated into a custom made design. Our products are in service throughout the world, enhancing playgrounds and leisure facilities by adding colour, play value and interest.

Connections
A secure connection and an aesthetically pleasing solution are the fundamental concerns when integrating rope structures into a design. We have a range of end fittings to cater for all applications. If you require an item that is not covered below, we have a huge variety of alternative components at our disposal.
![]() Open Thimble Heavy duty termination used in combination with a shackle or eyebolt for applications such as pull up ropes. |
![]() Solid Thimble For attachment to flat surfaces at oblique angles. Typically used around the perimeter of spider’s web. |
![]() Soft Loop The soft loop or soft eye is used to connect directly to a tubular support. Minimum 30mm dia.
|
![]() Threaded Stud Use on square or round sections in applications requiring nominal movements. i.e. - vertical scramble net. |
![]() Threaded Insert A hidden fixing for use on steel hollow sections. This fixing is very neat but does not allow movements. |
![]() M10/M12 Eyenut Used on square section timber or steel where movement is required. i.e. - bridge deck.
|
![]() Chain Tails For use on steel or timber frames. Allows good movement. More commonly used as a ground anchor. |
![]() Jaw End Requires a fabricated lug for fixture to framework. Use in areas with 3D motion such as twisted climbing nets. |
![]() M10 Eye Requires a fabricated double lug fixture to framework. Use in areas with modest movement.
|
![]() M10/M12 Shackle Requires a fabricated lug for fixture to framework. Use in areas with 3D motion such as twisted climbing nets. |
![]() M10/M12 Eye Bolt Suitable for round or square section timber where movement is required. i.e. - suspension bridge posts. |
![]() Net Post Connector The Net Post Connecter “A” is suitable for attachment to flat surfaces of steel or timber, It can be combined with the Net Post Adapter “B” for attachment to tubular section of 70-80mm diameter and allows moderate motion. |
Note: Aluminium ferrules have rounded edges and are hydraulically pressed in purpose made dies to give a permanent mechanical fixture. Design Tip: AS 1924, part 2. Design the mesh dimension to avoid head and neck entrapment. If an opening will allow a 125mm dia’ sphere to enter (Probe A) then a 230mm dia’ sphere (Probe B) must also pass through the opening. |
